Blog 2.1 The Steven Ray Adventures

Steven Ray Journal 1/24/19.

Today is a new day, and this week a new week. When I came to this amazing realization I decided it was time to show my class and the world my
amazing calligraphy skills.

(Second image is father away so you can't see all the mistakes close up)

This from the first time of me practing calligraphy. I came in with the expectation that I would be have the most beautiful handwriting in the world, unfortunately that didn't come true, but its probably just a universal balance thing since im already the most beautiful man alive. "Jokes" aside I was actaully kinda surprised how good I started out on my a's. I felt that the farther I got along practing the worse and worse I got. A have a couple theories on why this may be true. One I kinda lost focus a little bit as I was trying to make the letters and numbers. Second theory is that there was a time or two I had my pen turned the wrong way and that screws it up a bit when you start writing. Final theory is that it is a combination of the first two theories plus the fact that I very inexperienced. This is what I did this week and hopefully next week I can become just a little bit better.

For next week my goal is to finish the entire alphabet pratice worksheets. I also will give those sheets to Mrs. Sutter so she can grade me at my starting level, and from there I can get some feedback and hopefully apply it to this project. As a spoiler I also might drop a picture of some calligraphy rap lyrics, or maybe along with a beat which may or may not be included on my final goose goose mixtape. Just in case any of you had any confusion I am still working on my goose goose mixtape and already have a few songs pretty planned out and some beats already made for those songs.

As always if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions feel free to do so.

This blog is the start of something great. For too long my written words have been hidden and meaning lost due to my poor penmanship. Humanity deserves to know the truth behind the words I write and for the beauty of the letters to match the beauty of my words and their meaning. The only way for our society to progress to its greatest state is for its people to rise to the truest calling of their potential. All the great songs I've written, manifestos, world-changing ideas, and research I've done will be dust to the wind if no one can read what I'm writing. With this project, calligraphy, I plan to save the future of mankind by reinventing my handwriting to a level where it is actually readable and finally answer the call to reach my highest potential.

The start of this adventure began by me venturing through the school to Mrs. Sutter's classroom. She is a great art teacher and knowing the mysterious ways of the application of human creative skill and application in making works for beauty and or emotional power upon viewing them. I acquired from her the necessary practice work that will allow me to practice in the so-called application of human creative skills. She also bestowed upon me a calligraphy pen and some ink to start practicing writing with. I probably got over 50 sheets of different letters, alphabets, and styles of calligraphy, but I definitely will not dive as deep into this project as my last one as that was very time-consuming. I was hoping to start actually practicing writing this first week but I didn't have the necessary supplies to do so. Next blog post I plan on showing you guys what my current level is if you already don't know, start to practice on some of the practice sheets Mrs. Sutter gave me. I hope all you guys learned some important lessons from this last project and apply those lessons learned to this one.

P.S If you can't handle bad handwriting, especially the sight of it, then for this project you better look to other blog posts for enjoyment. Alex Mitchel would be a great substitute.
