(title has nothing to do with quotes below)
“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.” Mahatma Gandhi
“Whenever you are confronted with an opponent. Conquer him with love.”
We all are nearing the end of our project. It has been a hard fought war with many battles. Some were victorious some were loses. The final most important battle though is with our Ted Talks. It started with our shark tank pitches, then we battled through weeks of blog posts, procasination, and finally we have arrived at our final test. Everything at the start of this project has been preparing us for this moment.
I am done with the week the week activites for my blog so as of this moment I am in the process of working on, practicing the Ted Talk. Im planning on having a few Matthew Mcconaughey quotes or maybe even a "special" video of him if you guys got lucky. Potenial topics I will talk about is how I overcame the struggle of senioritits, or how Latin tests made my handwriting worse because of the stress. (That last one was a joke). I hope that by the end of my Ted Talk you guys will be able to see the progress I made on my project and that I will be able to convince you that it was a success not only by my standards but whatever standards you guys are using. Good luck to everyone on their projects and genius hour.
Hey, Steven, I'm proud of how far you've come with your project. It was definitely hard because of senioritis and the third quarter slump. I'm excited to hear your TED Talk and see everything you've accomplished.

Pfff, senioritis, use your what what you know about Greek roots Kelly it's senioralgia. Inflammation of the senior -- it just doesn't make sense.
DeleteI don't know Steven. Hmph. I think this Genius Hour represents a lack of cognizance in what people actually wanted to do for their next project. So they threw something together akin to how I perpetually threw mine together each week and realized their project sucked. I don't want to recognize senioralgia, (or in the layman's terms, senioritis) because then people think it validates their laziness, and they act like it's just a passing phase, like they are to recover out of it after third quarter. Why! I say. What's going to all of a sudden make you motivated the fourth quarter, after not being motivated the third, being more busy with sports, a trip for whatever club you're part of, graduation that says high school is in your rear-view mirror. To get out of the slump, Steven, requires self-discipline and that's the root cause of the slump of it in the first. So, unless you're able to turn it on it's head to where it's not work, but it's just a fun time, you won't get out of the slump until you've finally received your diploma.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's my Ted Talk, thanks for listening.
Steven, do I get a dollar for reading the Hebrew?
